Equipment Recommendations
Equipment Recommendations
Often we are asked for equipment recommendations that can help manage symptoms or help with your rehabilitation and healing at home. Over the years, we found ourselves continuously recommending the same products for their function, durability, and effectiveness. Below are the products we believe are reliable and helpful for your home use.
Why we recommend this:
We love this machine because it is durable, you can adjust settings based on the type of pain you have and the type of treatment goal you need, and best of all, for it’s affordable price point. There are many other fancy TENS machines out there, and this goes back to the basics with all the required functions to effectively achieve your treatment goals at home.
Why we recommend this:
We LOVE this heatpad! If pricing isn’t an issue for you, definitely go with this one as it provides really great, consistent moist heat, it is very durable, and a tried and true product. Many massage clinics use this product on their massage tables, and this speaks to their durability.
Why we recommend this:
This product is generally quite reliable, and also provides consistent, moist heat. We find that this heat pad doesn’t provide heat that is as high as thermaphore, but that is just based on our own subjective experience – we didn’t actually measure the temperature. This heat pad is covered in a soft fuzzy cover which is quite comfortable, and for those who do not want to spend as much on a heating pad, the price point is muchmore affordable.
Why we recommend this:
This tape goes beneath the Leukotape P to protect the skin.
Why we recommend this:
We enjoy using this tape in the clinic due to its durability, good elasticity, great support, and flexibility in sizing. This tape is not pre-cut, which we like as we tape a lot of different areas and limbs.
Why we recommend this:
This product provides very good elasticity, it is durable for the length of use, and it comes pre-cut which may be handy for those who like convenience.
Why we recommend this:
These are the tapes we use in the clinic that stick well, provide more support, and are durable for the duration of use.
Why we recommend this:
This is the original tried and true theraband. We often recommend having a variety of resistances to accommodate rehab exercises, as you normally will start with an easier resistance to make sure you have proper technique and movement patterns, then increase the resistance as you get stronger.

Mike has been a lifesaver with my pickleball knee injury! He always make me feel supported and motivated, and the progress has been amazing. Avi’s massage treatments are next level too! Couldn’t ask for a better team

Mike and team run such a great operation here at EastWest Physiotherapy. You can tell that Mike truly cares about his work and his clients. I’ve been here to “fix” my tennis elbow as well as random strains after long runs and I come back feeling stronger. Thank you so much!

Elizabeth is very knowledgeable in Western physiotherapy and traditional Chinese healing techniques. She uses the combination of both to help me with my migraines and muscle pain. It has been effective and life-changing. She is also an empathetic listener and it means a lot to me as a regular client. I highly recommend her!

I’ve been seeing Elizabeth for a couple of months now to rehabilitate some old running injuries and she has been nothing but kind, patient, and persistent. Going from a physio practice where my appointment time is shared with multiple patients to 1:1 treatment has been night and day. The variety of techniques she uses has been super effective, along with strengthening/maintenance recommendations. I was referred to her by family members and plan on recommending anyone else I know to go see her!
